“What can businesses do to create a culturally, intelligent workplace with all of this in mind? The first thing is to start with communication, and that communication must be authentic communication. Asking every person what they want, creating an inclusive environment. I think the second thing, is equal pay. Champion women to be paid on the same level as men. I think the third thing is to give feedback early and often about their contribution. Research says 1 minute spent on recognition creates 100 minutes of initiative. So, when you recognize an individual, they go above and beyond.”
